5 Stars – A Cultural and Architectural Masterpiece
The Walt Disney Concert Hall is one of Los Angeles’ true treasures. Designed by Frank Gehry, the building is a stunning piece of architecture that’s just as impressive inside as it is outside. The acoustics are phenomenal—every note resonates with clarity, whether you’re listening to the LA Philharmonic or a guest performance. One of my favorite parts of visiting is exploring the beautiful garden on the 3rd floor. It’s a peaceful, artful space that offers a serene escape and incredible views of the city skyline. The combination of world-class music, breathtaking design, and thoughtful outdoor spaces makes every visit unforgettable. Highly recommend to locals and visitors alike!
A marvelous place for major musical events! The design greatly combines classical and modern elements, and I enjoyed Kissin's piano performance very much.
Something that could improve include the signage of seat rows and use echo-absorption materials. If you are driving, be prepared to stuck at the crossing for half an hour lol
I went to hear the LA Phil play Prokofiev Symphony 5, two other pieces were on the concert including Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto #2. This was an exciting performance. The piano soloist was exceptional both technically and musically. Prokofiev was gorgeous, this was my first time hearing Prokofiev 5 live and it was a real treat. The orchestra sounds so polished!
